You know, Tetris is a communist game. That is not to say that there is anything political about it. It is simply a math game - a puzzle - that is of interest to a lot of people, commie or not. It's just that a Communist in the USSR wrote it - Alexey Pajitnov in 1984. But you probably don't know about the computer it was written on. It's a PDP-11/23 clone made by Elektronika. Aaaaaand it did not have graphics. His workaround was to form the graphics with text characters, as in this image of the original software running in emulation:

I don't know much about this - most of the information on it is in Russian - but the computer itself is very similar to some DEC PDP-11 systems, being a clone of a the PDP-11/23. It'll be interesting to know this little tidbit about the history of Tetris.
Hello, I am The Gigabiter(my official Net pseudonym because if you give out your real name on the Net you're hosed), also known as Major_Monogram, ElectroPaint and lightsofpahrump(and daniel-g-cs50 on GitHub but dont go poking around my repos 'cause there's nothing there).
