JRE v 1.3.1 for Mac

I can't seem to find JRE for Mac. Advise please.

I don't have a mac but I think it might be already pre-installed, could be wrong though

On my mac I have JRE 1.6 installed and as far as I can tell all the software runs fine. To check what version you have installed, open the terminal app and type "java -version" (without the quotes) at the command prompt.
