i started writing this to ask for help about one problem, but noticed an issue while reading over it for typos! after fixing it i thought i had solved it, but when i run the test it still fails. what is wrong with my code?
edited to deleted code, solved my problem. Sorry! in case someone else in future encounters this problem, make sure to clear the register before starting..
