Keyboard input not being recognized

sc24evr
I am having a weird issue with the keyboard chip and keyboard based chips in the hardware simulator. For some reason after clicking on the keyboard icon ithe hardware simulator the simulator only recognizes tapped out keys. If I hold a key down, then the any key(s) I press afterwards won't be recognized. I have to reload the hardewaresimulator and reload the chip to get the keyboard inputs to start being recognized again. I'm running a Mac, could this be some kind of software/OS issue?
Thanks!

Additional info. Turns out that I can't edit any values in any way in the hardware simulator after holding a key down for a few seconds, irrespective of whether I'm using the keychip or any other chip. Could this be some kind of sticky key issue or something with java?

There are many UI bugs in the suite, but this one is quite strange. Can you describe it in more details? Please include steps to reproduce, observed behavior and expected behavior.
