Nothing opens

I'm using a macbook pro with Windows 7 on it.  I downloaded it to my downloads folder and got Java but it doesn't work.  I double click, click open when it says the publisher could not be verified, but nothing happens.  This occurs with all the software, not just the Hardware Simulator.  I already tried re-downloading and unzipping.

Same problem here, but I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.  It looks like it is trying to open, but just closes/crashes immediately.

Had the same issue, but checked my JRE and found I didn't have the 64-bit version.  You can find the link here:

Thanks, J!  I was having the same issue as Arthur, and was wondering why my (apparently not) updated Java wasn't cutting the mustard.  Solved the issue handily!
