Status bar not visible

I cannot view the status bar at the bottom in any of the simulators. I am on Mac OS X Yosemite. A screenshot of the Hardware Simulator is attached.

I found the problem. The window is automatically resizing to avoid the Dock. Instead of shrinking everything to fit the new size, resizing just hides the Status bar at the bottom.
