Using the software on a Mac

Is it possible to get the software to run on a Mac or compile it for a Mac? I can't get the compiled binaries to run (I get the message Invalid or corrupt jarfile in the console), and I can't see what file(s) to compile.

I'm running Snow Leopard and java version 1.6.0_17.

The software runs fine on a Mac as far as I can tell, but I use the shell scripts provided to start the apps up. Can you give an example of how you are trying to start the programs?
