Web vs stand alone IDE

Apologies if this has been asked already, I've searched but not found an answer here:

I know the online web version is now the preferred IDE but, apart from the convenience/logistics, is the web version functionally better?

By and large, yes, but it does have its issues and limitations, including some bugs. The bugs are to be expected with something new and they are generally addressed pretty quickly.
