install in ubuntu16.04 LTS

Sir, I am using Ubuntu 16.04LTS how I can install software on my computer

Hi. All you need is to have java installed. You can use OpenJDK:

$ sudo apt install openjdk-8-jdk

You then download and unzip the software suite from http://nand2tetris.org/software.php and you're good to go.

Try to give us more information. What have you tried? How it fails? Stuff like that...

I installed it in the home folder and open the folder-selected nand2tetris-opened tools from it-and selected (hardware simulator. sh)-and made it as executable-and tried to open it but, what opened is the text editor
