These chapters are intentionally not available. Please buy the book if you want to do the software half of the course.

It's only $19 for the kindle version though personally I like a book that I can

Hi Mark,

I first heard of this course through prof Schocken's TED's presentation and he advertises the course as completely open source with free material for self-learning. Did I misunderstand? That makes me raise an eyebrow.

I'd like to contribute with a donation, just like I do for Linuxmint and wikipedia. How can I do that without enriching amazon and a mailing company?

I can't speak to this.  I'm just a firmware engineer who is doing his bit to promote hardware design education. This is a choice that Profs. Schocken and Nisan have made (I suspect it's a requirement from their publisher.)

I don't believe any explicit terms have been mentioned during the video. Only that materials are available online, etc.

That's pretty cool. But just buy the book. When you're done with the book, give it to someone who will gain from its content.
