The result of running /bin/sh +x ./HardwareSimulator.sh is

Error: A JNI error has occurred, please check your installation and try again
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Hack/HardwareSimulator/HardwareSimulatorControllerGUI

This is using java 8
