This stuff all falls under the heading of "digital electronics". There are tons of introductory texts and websites out there. Perhaps my favorite author in this area is John F. Wakerly. You can get used copies of his previous edition on Amazon for under $10 and there's a Kindle version available for not much more (but Kindle versions of textbooks tend to be hit and miss since they often don't bring in tables, equations, and figures well).
